RELEASE PARTY IN DOUALA 21May 2010

Michel and Chanceline left Limbe 21May to join the rest of the Ubuntu Members in Douala for the Release party. They were received by Christian who wait for the at Bonaberi, so that they could jointly moved to the Unviversity campus. The ubuntu team cameroon was invited in the University of Douala Campus II to explain the advantages of the Linux Operating system to the cameroon community. See pictures below.


The students were very impressed and happy, some said they have never head about the Linux Operating system, others said they have head about it but do not know how to install it. So we decided to make many small groups to show how they can install Linux Operating system, how they can use the thin client computer(see pictures) etc.


At the end of the release party many students promise to come to limbe to do more practicals especially on wireless networking. This was due to the fact that Chanceline made a presented on networking, solar panels, and low power computer. The students find hope with linux friends and would like to do more practicals in Limbe with Linux Friends because what they do in the university is more on theory.

Some ubuntu team members made presentation such as Brice Ekobe, Cyril Nkwabong, Pauli Michel, Ngainku Chanceline, Christian Awelakoue,President of CSC, Vice president of Ubuntu-cm and Julius Tchanque. The Ubuntu form was given to participant to filled."Ce formulaire d'information, n'est rien d'autre qu'un moyen de recueillir vos impressions, critiques et suggestions, afin d'améliorer et mieux répondre à vos attentes".We thank God every body was satisfied.
