REPORT ON THE RELEASE PARTY


On the 29 of April 2009 The ASSOCIATION OF LINUX FRIENDS in Limbe hosted
a party which was organised by the UBUNTU TEAM in Cameroon with participants
from Douala



     The Release Party was organised to sensitize the population about the new Distribution of the LINUX Operating system.This distribution is called Ubuntu 9.04.The developers of the Linux operating system always come up with a new Distribution after 6Months.

The Party started at about 2pm with the arrival of invitees.It was a late start. Opening prayer was led by brother Sampson.This was followed by a brief lecture on the usage and importance of the Linux Operating System. followed by questions from the invitees and students.
Then came speeches from the coordinator,proprietor and a student of the school.
It was closely followed by a light refreshment and the installation of the new distribution of Linux.

     While the installation was going on,a ballet group from Chantal Biya Foundation in Limbe entertained the crowd with "Bikutsi",a cameroonian popular music. This was followed by the award of attestations to the successful students.

Food and drinks were served to the population. The coordinator rewarded T-shirts to those who answered successfully to the questions she posed. Installation CDs were also distributed to the population.
