Wovia is a village in the south west province,situated a few kilometers from limbe. It is a village that is made up of three families. It has a very broad social life style activities.

As concerns social life ,they love strangers very much. In Wovia you can never know the difference between a stranger of the village with an indigent of that village. A wovia man can never hear you shout in without them coming to ask you why you are shouting.They show concern for each other,they share one anothers burden.

they have village council that solves problems. They are very strick concerning stealing and fighting in their village. In wovia they exercise a lot of justice no matter who you are.when you steal you will pay a sum of 25000frs or 5 crates of drinks. When you fight you pay the sum of 5000frS. Refusals to pay this will lead to the seizure of your property or the thief will be taken to police station.

They have social activies such as canoe race , where the three families compete. They carry on wrestling competition with neigbouring villages.

as concerns their marital status, boys in wovia get married at a very tender age. They always get married to girls outside their village. According to them girls in their village do not persevere in marriage.

There are so many drinking spots in Wovia, that is where they always meet to share their problems and discuss matters concerning their village.

The village is also previlege to have a school and council hall which have venue for social gatherings like the wosa (wovia students association). W.O.C.C.A the villags also has a network of Churches such the Presbyterian,Baptist, Protestant Churches There are other social amenities like Hospitals,School and Clinic. There is insuficient pipe borne water in Wovia village, the villagers also have small financial houses like "njangi" houses
