ASSESMENT OF TRAINING AT THE ASSOCIATION OF LINUX FRIENDS ISOKOLO

My training at the Association of Linux Friends was wonderful, Linux Friends is really a place to be. Through out my training I have learn a lot and increase my skills in computer.

During my training at Linux Friends my knowledge of computer studies was not only limited to the various programs but I also had the opportunity to study in the secretariat office for one month before going for my internship program. While at the secretariat, I had the opportunity to learn how to photocopy, scan a document, type and print, send a document or a photo through E-mail. Here, I learn how to interact with customers and ensure their satisfaction at the end of their demand.

My stay at the secretariat helped me a lot because when I went for internship, I had the basic knowledge of working in a documentation office. I could operate most machines at my internship place and felt at ease with customers. This thus made my internship program easy because I applied the knowledge I acquired from both my training in class and my stay in the secretariat.

CHAPTER THREE

DIFFICULTIES FACED

AT THE ASSOCIATION OF LINUX FRIENDS

Eventhough there is a number of successes during my training and internship period, there was also a number of difficulties faced

  • Linux Friends has 15 working computers at the beginners class which is not enough for all the students to work independently so students are force to work in groups of two or three per computer as a result the learning process is very slow and boring.

  • There was no stand by generator in case of power failure. And the solar system was installed on only four computers.

  • Another vital problem was the numerous freezing of computers. During lessons, most computers freeze up since all the computers are on a network and working at the same time. This makes the lesson slow and lost of concentration by students.

AT EMACO GLOBAL NET LIMBE

During my internship program at EMACO GLOBAL NET, the only difficulty I had was that of transportation. Sometimes I had to absent from work because I had no Transport Fair to School. The Transport Fair was a big setback for me as I had to Spent 500Fcfa To and Fro Limbe To Sokolo From Monday to Friday.

CONCLUSION

Despite all the challenges I encountered during my training and internship program, I still had a wonderful and successful experience. I learn so many things which I Did not know during my internship program such as plastification of ID cards, birth certificates etc, spiral and slide Binding, photocopy recto verso, building a letter head etc.

My training and internship program was successful all thanks to God almighty and also my teachers in the Association of Linux Friends and my Internship supervisor Mr. Elias Mbu Agbor. Thank you all for building me a computer literate. May God Continues to Bless you Abundantly. Amen.
