Linux Friends Event Workshop February 2025

The Association of Linux Friends organised an event at the school premises,the event was based on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for E-learningin programmming with python,and the production of solar panels which was used to power two security lamps.And also how to use the Raspberry Pi computer to stream live videos and capture images with the Raspberry Pi Camera.The event had attendees from within Limbe and Douala,also present were students from different Higher institution within the Limbe Municipality.

The event began with a presentation from Blandine on how to use Moodles in E-learning with the linux friends online Moodles course.She also talk about the advantages and disadvantages of E-learning

The Advanced Class students of Linux Friends Clovis and Metuge did a presentation on AI (Artificial Intelligence).How to use AI's like DeepSeek,ChapGpt and Gemini in computer programming.They successfully developed a School Management System app,a calculator app and a ToDo List app with python flask using AI technology.

There was also a presentation on how to use the Raspberry pi3 computer to stream live videos and also to take still images from the linux Terminal.The images were captured with the Raspberry Pi camera which was connected to the raspberry pi machine. The presentation was done by Mark and Jarvis.

The Last presentation was on solar installation, which was done by Ignatius Njumbe.He did a presentation on a 100watts solar panel which was built by the solar team of the Association of Linux Friends.The panel was connected to a controller and a battery and powered 2 Flood Lamps.
