The Robotics project is about building a robot here at Linux Friends that can be used in the internal structure. It is the aim of the Association to be able to build such technology and not only depend on importing from other countries. So far our robot can execute commands such as move 1meter forward and backward, identify an obstacle and change direction when it meets an obstacle & draw the number 8
The water detector project aims at carrying out gemophological statistics to assist in borehole drilling.
Media pipe is a Google technology which can be used to detect a hand, face, full body when placed infront of a camera. This is a new project at Linux Friends and is still under study.
Security is very important in every business reason why we have the security camera project. The vision of this is to set up cameras at Linux Friends. We also wish to earn some income with this project.
The vision of this project is to commercialize the solar tricyle. That is, use it for paid transportation of goods. It will also set the pace for setting a solar recharging base here at the Association.
Building a training space which runs entirely on solar energy is one of the goals of Linux Friends. So far we have a host of machines that run entirely on solar energy. For example, in the Beginners class 1/2 of the desktops are powered by solar. The Advance has had solar computer and charging place installations in towns such as Bagante, Kumba etc..
Installing solar bulbs for homes and also as security lights. With the irreliable power supply by the national power supply company, Linux Friends offers solar lamps installation for interested individuals or institutions. We have had installations in towns like Muyuka which was successful and has been running for more than a year.
Installing solar borehole water pumps. These has been a very successful project of the Advance class of the Linux Friends. Solar Water Pumps have been installed at Linux Friends as our borehole runs on solar energy. We have equally had installations Buea, Isokolo, Limbola etc...
Database projects are build with MYSQL, NO SQL & MUNGO DB
This project was built by students of the Advance class of Linux Friends. It contains information of previous students of the Association and makes provisions for the registration of incoming students.
Below are some objects designed and printer at Linux Friends using our 3D printer. We have printed casings of the raspberry pies used at Linux Friends. The external casing of our robot was also equally designed and printer by the 3D printer. This printer uses PLS and Flexible filaments for printing.
