Linux Friends Presentation March 7th 2025
Today, we had an exciting presentation event hosted by Mr. Pauli Michel. The event featured presentations from both the Beginners and Advanced classes, and it was attended by students from Favour Technical and Commercial School. The event was a great opportunity for students to showcase their knowledge and skills.
Advanced Class Presentation: LED Lighting and Web Control
The first presentation was delivered by the Advanced class. The topic was LED Lighting and Controlling LED Lights on the Web. The presentation was led by Mark Legend, Metuge Nkwelle, and Albert Lysinge. They demonstrated how LED lights can be controlled using smartphones and through the web. It was fascinating to see how technology allows us to turn lights on and off remotely.
During the presentation, an important question was asked: How can this idea be implemented in real life? The presenters explained that this technology is already being used in various areas, such as traffic lights and home security cameras, which can be accessed from anywhere. This showed how practical and useful their project was.
Beginners Class Presentation: Vision of the Association of Linux Friends
The second presentation was by the Beginners class. They spoke about the Vision of the Association of Linux Friends and the Importance of Computers in Our Modern World. The presentation was delivered by Emilia Suni, who explained how computers have become an essential part of our daily lives and how the Association of Linux Friends aims to promote the use of open-source technology. This presentation highlighted the growing role of technology in education, work, and communication.
