World Water Day is a day set aside by the United Nations Water (UN water) to celebrate water, to raise awareness of the 2 billion people living in the globe without access to safe water and to discuss on the global water crisis. World Water Day is celebrated annually on the 22nd of March, and each year is celebrated with a different theme making a particular water crisis or challenge.
World Water day 2022 is celebrated with the theme "GROUND WATER, MAKING THE INVISIBLE VISIBLE" . The World Water day is marked by activities raising awareness of the theme and this exercise is supervised by the Ministry of Water and Energies in the various regions in Cameroon and the activites carried out by Civil Societies in the region. The Association of Linux Friends was one of the key organisations contributing to a successful organisation of the World Water Day 2022.
Tuesday 15th March marked the launch of the week of activities for the commemoration of World Water Day 2022. LINUX FRIENDS as well as other Civil Societies like @CADEF, FOREP, EPDA, LUKMEF, COLFO etc.. all working under the patronage of @MINEE to ensure a successful event celebration. The Regional Delegate for Water and Energy declared the activities open in the presence of some stakeholders at the Conference Hall of MINEE, South West Region.
